Oak Glen SKU Search & Synonyms (“the app”) is provided by Oak Glen. This policy explains what information the app handles when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store, and when shoppers search that store.

Information we access

• Your store’s domain and the access token Shopify issues when you install the app.
• Your products and variants: title, handle, variant title, SKU, barcode, price, image link, and whether the product is active on your Online Store. We keep a copy of these to answer searches quickly.
• The synonym groups and search redirects you enter in the app.
• Your live theme’s settings file, read only to show whether the app embed is turned on.
• The words shoppers type into your store’s search box, counted per day so you can see popular and failed searches. These counts are not linked to any customer, account, IP address or device, and are deleted after 30 days.
• Basic information about your staff account shown by Shopify during login, used only to keep you logged in.

Information we do not collect

The app does not access orders or customers and does not store any customer personal information. We do not use cookies on your storefront, and we do not sell or share any data.

How information is stored

Data is stored on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. When you uninstall, the product index is deleted straight away and everything else (redirects, search counts, sessions) is deleted when Shopify sends its shop deletion request, 48 hours later. Request logs are kept for a short time for troubleshooting.

Your rights

We respond to Shopify’s data request and deletion webhooks. You can also email us to ask what data we hold or to have it deleted.
